Community Gardens

Nestled throughout our neighbourhood, our four vibrant community gardens are perfect for connecting with nature, learning the joys of gardening, and meeting friendly faces from around the community.

A community-based, membership-funded organisation running a community garden, a community compost hub, and a deposit container collection service.

Located in Lex Ord Park South, near the St Lucia Golf Links and the Carawa Street Dog Park.

An inclusive community garden, run by volunteers, features regular gardening bees every Wednesday afternoon and Sunday morning, a worm farm, a container deposit collection service, and even a secret fairy garden created by our smallest gardeners.

Located in Perrin Park, near the old bowls club and the dog park.

An accessible outdoor space for gardening, cooking, learning, and relaxing. Open to students, staff, and the community, it hosts workshops, activities, and volunteering opportunities.

Located on the corner of Sir Fred Schonell Drive and Sir William MacGregor Drive (on the roundabout), on the grounds of The University of Queensland.

A kitchen garden project as part of a Meals on Wheels initiative (now known as Caring Cuisine).

Located in the Ironside Forest, near the Caring Cuisine kitchen and the St Lucia Community Hall.
